Real Madrid president Florentino Perez expressed his delight after his team won the World Champion (Intercontinental Cup).
Los Blancos thrashed Pachuca 3-0 in the Intercontinental Cup on Wednesday, giving Los Blancos the title they needed.
“It’s a great satisfaction because it’s not just about winning another trophy, it’s about winning the World Cup and the ninth time. It’s a great trophy and we’re really looking forward to it,” Perez told Real Madrid TV.
“We will continue to fight for trophies. Of course, last season was very important, but this year we have won two more trophies. We are still on the way in the league and the Champions League and many other competitions.
