Arsenal manager Miguel Arteta says Gabriel Jesus must keep up his form after his latest hat-trick.
The Gunners beat Crystal Palace 3-2 in a thrilling Carabao Cup quarter-final on Wednesday to send the Gunners into the semi-finals.
“Now it’s about continuity, it’s a moment to spark him to do more for the team, we can count on him to change the game for us, we need to create more chances for him.
“I am happy with his performance. It has been a long time since he has not scored. To score three goals like this and to be involved in the game is very good for us.
“Happy to be in the semi-finals. We conceded an easy goal but turned things around after making a few changes in the second half.
“(Martin Ødegaard, who came on as a substitute in the second half) responded well. That’s what we want from every player in the team. Playing at that level helps the team respond well.”
Jesus is no longer ยูฟ่าเบท a guaranteed started. With Kai Havertz the preferred option up front this season. Havertz has not been in the best goalscoring form lately. Though, so does Jesus have a chance of starting against Palace on Saturday in the Premier League given his three goals on Wednesday?
“Let’s enjoy tonight and then start to think,” Arteta said. “It’s good that we have players knocking on the door and are telling the team I deserve to be there. So it’s a good problem to have.”
